Joanna Lumley, Kathy Burke, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Beverley Knight, Annie Mac and Miranda Richardson mark the 100th anniversary of INTERNATIONAL WOMENS' DAY on March 8th 2011 by letting rip on women's rights for ActionAid's GET LIPPY campaign.
The video features the female personalities revealing what’s the best and worst thing about being a woman – ‘the ability to become a mother’ and ‘multi-tasking’ are just a few of the quotes thrown out there by the celebs supporting ActionAid.
The ActionAid campaign, Get Lippy, is about supporting women around the world who are still fighting for rights and freedom – women in this country only got the vote 100 years ago so there’s still a long way to go for so many others.
These are real women who face real struggles. Your messages will show them that they’re not alone in the fight for equality.
