Yes, that really is a gold tattoo

The ink and henna tattoo is getting precious metal makeover in the Emirates from a renowned Japanese jewellery designer Nobuhiko Akatsuka.


Nobuhiko created Precious Skin, the world's first "body direct" jewellery, which is made of 99% pure gold and platinum foil that is set on bare skin. The ingot of gold is melted and laminated step by step from three centimetres to one-tenth of a millimetre thickness.The design is then stamped on to the foil and  any extra scraps to obtain the final design are manually removed. Application takes around 10 minutes.

Starting at Dhs200 for a small gold tattoo and Dhs400 for an equivalent platinum one.

The experience here is just excellent. The moment you get into the shop, you are greeted by all the friendly staff. For me, the best part was the massage where she actually crack my neck!! haha!! It was the sound of music! I really felt so much better after that! You will feel like a princess in N.A.I.L.S spa. They just make you feel so pampered :-) :-)

I was suggesting people on my blog to change their profle picture to their favourite cartoon character to fight violence against chilldren. I found out today that it was a hoax.

It was actually started by a group of paedophiles. They're doing it because kids will accept their friend request faster if they see a cartoon picture. It has nothing to do with supporting child violence. It was on a TV show that warn about internet frauds, plus tonight's news.

I can't belive that people are sick enough to do this. I can't believe I'm such an idiot to fall into it and encourage all my friends to change their profile pictures. Ggggggrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Hope they rot in hell and just burn!

Today we made a trip to the Sun & Sands Factory outlet in Al Quoz. We went there like a couple of months ago, it was pretty hot and stuffy and their stuff are pretty cluttered. They were close for renovation for a while and we drove past the place yesterday and decided to check it out! :-) It has transformed! It looks pretty good for warehouse- all the sizes are sort out in order :-) They carry brands like nike, adidas, hollister and timberland and all are on discounted prices! <3 wooohhoooo!!

I'm a credit card whore! As an accountant, I'm really good with money. :-) The use of credit card can be an advantage if you use it wisely. Here are some of my personal tips on how to manage having a credit card!

1. Carry a limited number of credit cards in your name. Don't be greedy! The more credit cards you have, the more you are at risk of spending more than you can afford!

2. Spend only what you can afford to pay back within a month of two. Make sure u determine your own acceptable level of debt. Credit cards are easy and convenient to use, but if its not used wisely, it can increase your level of debt because of the interest rates charged on the late payments!

3.Apply for credit cards that don't have an annual fee, as well as cards that offer rewards to members. I use my credit card to actually save money. Some cards offers discounts on clothings, restaurants and entertainment. Make sure you get the card that gives you the benefits!

4.Read your monthly statements thoroughly to make sure all the charges were authorized for the correct amount and not subject to unexpected fees.

5.Be careful of your details! Do not expose yourself and keep your pin secret! If you need to give personal details, make sure its legit and you are talking to the right person. Dispose receipts with any details on it and make sure websites are secure when you are buying online. Ensure that the website has "https" to ensure it is secure when entering your credit card details.

6.Stop using your credit card if you're in over your head. Stop spending for things that you can't afford to pay back. Its not worth being in debt and ended up paying the bank interest!

T-Mobile welcomes you home to T5. The 3rd instalment of their series of ad events.


T-Mobile strikes again with first flashmob ever organised at UK airport. Hundreds of strangers burst into spontaneous song and dance at T5 arrivals to welcome passengers home.

The advert will premiere on Friday 29th October at precisely 10.10pm when a full length 3 minute version will be screened. In what is a world’s first, the premiere will take place simultaneously across more than 86 digital and terrestrial commercial TV channels along with all of the major social networks including Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. The launch is expected to reach nearly 10 million people across more than 2 million households across the UK.

The advert, which is being made for T-Mobile by Saatchi & Saatchi, is being filmed, edited and broadcast in under 36 hours and is the first ever to be filmed at Terminal 5.

I like it in the dark closet :P

Facebook status updates like ‘I like it on the floor’ have left most puzzled, and it seems to be spreading like wildfire. It may sound provocative but the main idea is just part of the latest campaign to raise the profile of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.



One of my friends has suggested that we women should do something special on facebook in order to increase awareness of October Breast Cancer Awareness month. It's so easy to do, that I'd love you to join in to make this a memorable online event.

Last year, the idea was to post the colour of the bra you were wearing on facebook...and it left men wondering for days, why women were posting colours, seemingly at random.

This year's game has to do with your handbag/purse, where we put our handbag the moment we get home; for example "I like it on the couch", "I like it on the kitchen counter", "I like it on the dresser". Well u get the idea. Just put your answer as your status (i.e. don't respond to this message, but put it on your status) - and cut n paste this message and forward to all your FB female friends to their inbox.

I'm blood type O+ so, this is for me :-)

If you're blood type O ("for old," as in humanity's oldest blood line) your digestive tract retains the memory of ancient times, says D'Adamo, so you're metabolism will benefit from lean meats, poultry, and fish. You're advised to restrict grains, breads, and legumes, and to enjoy vigorous exercise.

Type A ("for agrarian") flourishes on vegetarian diets, "the inheritance of their more settled and less warlike farmer ancestors," says D'Adamo. The type A diet contains soy proteins, grains, and organic vegetables and encourages gentle exercise.

The nomadic blood type B has a tolerant digestive system and can enjoy low-fat dairy, meat, and produce but, among other things, should avoid wheat, corn, and lentils, D'Adamo says. If you're type B, it's recommended you exercise moderately.

The "modern" blood type AB has a sensitive digestive tract and should avoid chicken, beef, and pork but enjoy seafood, tofu, dairy, and most produce. The fitness regimen for ABs is calming exercises.

The Importance of Natural Weight Loss




Many people want to lose weight, but most of them want to steer clear of fad diets and crash diets that may work in the short term but don't provide long-term weight loss results and may actually cause health problems down the line.

Just because a supplement is considered safe now does not mean that some time later it won't be decided that the manufactured product or drug is dangerous. Once you have these basics in place, losing weight naturally and quickly will be easier. There's no magic bullet involved in this plan, but if you can stick with it you should find yourself losing weight steadily.

1. Eat more fruits and vegetables. It seems like many diet plans start with this basic, and there's a good reason for it. Fruits and vegetables are high in water and fiber and low in calories. That means they'll make you feel fuller longer and with fewer calories than other foods.

2. Stock up on whole grains. Again, fiber is the reason that complex carbs should be on your plate. Whole grains keep your blood sugar on an even level through the day, which will keep you from running for that 4 p.m. candy bar. They're also low in calories for the fullness factor you get from them.

3. Choose lean protein. And cut back on meat if you can. Beans, tofu and lean meats are satisfying without all the fat that's found in some cuts of beef and pork. And go for preparations that don't add a lot of fat, such as grilling or sautéing.

4. Try some natural metabolism boosters. Did you know there are foods that boost your metabolism? Try adding oatmeal, green tea and foods with a spicy kick to your diet to give it a boost.

Making these basic changes, along with getting regular exercise, should help you lose a couple of pounds a week, so long as you keep your calories in check.

I went to the the mall yesterday and guess what.. SALES!!! Centrepoint/ Splash is having sales up to 60%! I went bargain-crazy! Most of the clothings especially my size are gone :-( but I managed to grab some! hehe. I bought for my boy working 6 working shirts! Was AED 100 plus but I got it for AED30- AED 45 each! YAY!!! Best Hair Cut in Dubai

I have only cut my hair once since I came to Dubai 2 years ago. The price is really expensive and I had bad experience cutting my hair here. Back in Malaysia, I paid about AED250 dirhams to wash,cut, perm and blowdry my hair but in Dubai, you pay the same amount of money for only a haircut!!

I decided to cut my hair today and give the salon here another chance. I went to Miyazaki Salon. According to their site ,all their staff are highly trained, qualified and experienced Japanese stylists. The price is quite pricey compared to the other salons but its worth the trip and price! With AED 280, I had my hair washed, pampered, got a shoulder massage and a great haircut! If you had bad experience with the hair stylist here in Dubai, check out this place! you won't regret it! I know I'm really pleased with their staff, their service and also attention to details. My hair stylist is Yukari Nishida. She's just the sweetest!
